Located just 45 minutes outside of Las Vegas is the exciting and interesting ghost town of Techatticup Mine camp established in 1861. The camp is part of the oldest, richest, and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada.

Visitors to the area can see historical sites where steamboats docked, and stamp mills operated over 150 years ago.

The Techatticup Mine camp is located just outside the small town of Nelson Nevada in Eldorado Canyon. Businesses in the area offer historical mine tours and scenic blue water kayak trips on the Colorado River at the mouth of Black Canyon below Hoover Dam.
