July 7, 2021, Following the protest at Far Western Anthropological Research Group, Carson City, Nevada, Portland Antifa group RisingPDX called for a Protect Thacker Pass solidarity rally at the Tesla facility in Portland, Oregon. Protesters erected a symbolic tipi with banners and the American Indian Movement flag. Following the protest at the Tesla facility, the protesters moved the demonstration across the street to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) facility which has been the scene of violent protests and riots in recent months.
